The 2014-2015 Parent/Student Handbook, a contract between the parents, students and the school, is available to download below:
Parents and students must review the handbook, and sign the “Handbook Agreement Form” in order to finalize enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year.
The Administration’s Right to Amend this Handbook:
The Administration of St. John the Baptist School reserves the right to amend the Student/Parent Handbook at any time during the school year. Students and parents will be promptly notified of any such amendments.
- Beginning in September, 2009, the faculty has been working on a new formulation of our school's Mission Statement (the school Philosophy was completely reviewed and updated in the previous year). The Mission Statement is intended to be a one line summary of what is most fundamental in the philosophy of the school. On Monday, October 11, 2010, in the presence of Brother William Campbell of the National Catholic Education Association, the new Mission Statement was presented for the first time at the meeting of the Strategic Planning Committee (composed of the Pastor, Administration, Teachers, Parents, Parishoners, Local Business Representatives and Alumni). This is now the official Mission Statement of the school, effective October 11, 2010 and replaces the former text in the student/parent handbook:
In the noble tradition of Catholic education, with Christ as teacher and guide, St. John the Baptist School prepares the way for students to build a civilization of love in this world and know the fullness of God’s love in the next.
